Advanced Course in Implantology (ACI) INTRODUCTION Dental Implant is a rapidly growing treatment modality and is the need of a modern dental practice. Hence, skill in placement and restoration of dental implants is essential for general dental practioners. Advanced certificate in oral Implantology is designed to impart comprehensive knowledge and skills in the art and science of oral Implantology. OVERVIEW Advanced certificate in Oral Implantology is a modular programme specially formulated to suit the needs of both experienced and new clinicians in terms of imparting basic and advanced theory and practical skills in Implantology. It is a distance learning programme conducted over three trimesters, in a fully equipped Implantology section, with eminent experienced faculty from both surgical and restorative disciplines. One of the advantages of the course is that it is not system specific and encompasses multiple implant systems, as well as advanced implant surgery. ELIGIBILITY BDS DURATION The duration of this course is of three trimesters (one year). Each module will include 2 contact sessions of 3 days (6 days per module)
